The founder of T Buck Construction, Terry Buck, passed away on February 25, 2021. Terry poured his heart and soul into his company from the day he started it in 1989. Terry was an entrepreneur in the truest sense of the word. He was always looking for opportunities to grow and prosper. Establishing T Buck Construction as a premier contractor in the northeast was a microcosm of his business philosophy, which was to always be looking forward.
Early on, Terry created a culture at T Buck Construction that in some cases was polarizing. Terry’s work ethic was contagious and his sense of pride for a quality product was evident. Establishing positive connections with owners and municipalities is something that Terry took great pride in. He Recognized the importance of good working relationships but was never one to shy away from necessary conflict.
Work was his passion. He put everything he had into the task at hand. Beyond his passion, construction was also one of many hobbies which included riding his motorcycle, buying/selling cars, ‘trying’ to play golf, and most of all; going out to eat and socializing. His wit and intelligence made him a tremendous storyteller and he had no shortage of them.
Terry Buck had many great qualities. Perhaps his finest (and most underrated) was his judge of character. A lot of people came in and out of his life, but Terry never held a grudge. He was compassionate in his own way. If you were in his life, rest assured knowing that if you needed help, you got it. He was larger than life and he will be dearly missed.
T Buck Construction, Inc. will thrive for years to come thanks to the solid foundation Terry created. We are all lucky to have played a small role in his action-packed life.
